About the desk
I am a graduate student who keeps notes in public mostly to stop losing them. The name is a private joke about a wren that nests on the windowsill of the study room I have had since first year.
Everything here is written by hand and published as plain HTML. No trackers, no cookies, no comment system, no account. If a page ever stops loading, it is more likely my cheap hosting than anything mysterious — the archive lives in a folder of text files that I can rebuild in an afternoon.
How the notes work
A note starts as a paper scribble, gets rewritten once on paper, and then typed here the week I rewrite it. By the time something is published I have looked at it three times, which is exactly the point: publishing is my spaced repetition.
Getting in touch
The honest way: write to desk at this domain. I read everything and answer most things, slowly. If you are a classmate looking for the seating map, the answer is in the library post, not in email.
